Initial Consultation and Treatment
The consultation discusses your health related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. The diagnosis of your condition is through Traditional Chinese Medicine. The initial treatment includes a session of Acupuncture Treatment and complimentary Acupuncture Manipulation Therapy (AMT).
Acupuncture Therapy relieves pain, treats and prevents disease, and promotes good health. Patients are treated with the insertion of disposable ultra-fine needles into specific points of the body affiliated with internal organs and tissues. Acupuncture stimulates the nervous system and produces changes in the blood chemistry that facilitates the body’s ability to heal itself. The fine needle is inserted with minimal or no pain and has no possibility of infection.
Electro-Acupuncture is a form of acupuncture that is used to stimulate the acu-points and channels of the body. The acupuncture needles are attached to an electric device that generates continuous electric pulses. The mild electrical current that passes through may have a light tapping sensation on the skin.
Ear Acupuncture Therapy (Auricular Therapy)
The visible portion of the ear represents the micro system of the entire body. Needles or herbal seeds are used to stimulate certain points of the ear to prevent and heal sickness and disease. Herbal seeds are temporarily fixed upon specific points of the ear. It is encouraged to daily press onto these seeds to stimulate the acu-points. Such a seed-pressing method is convenient and has good effects for many conditions.
Cupping is the best deep tissue massage found to effect the body up to four inches into the tissues. This therapy effects the tissues to release toxins, activate the lymphatic system, clear blood blockages, help activate and clear veins, arteries and capillaries. It also can improve skin conditions (allergic reactions), stretch marks and improve the condition of varicose veins.(You may feel a warm, pulling or stretching sensation. After Cupping Therapy, there may be a ring-mark, bruise, or some skin discoloration for a few days.)
Muscle Activation Therapy
Muscle Activation Therapy (MAT) activates the muscles for natural movement and optimal body condition. The activation of ground muscles in the foot is the foundation of reconnecting the complex muscular system that is vital to the human body. Muscles play a vital part in everything you do. They control your heartbeat, breathing, help digestion and allow movement. MAT revitalizes strength and stamina in primary muscles throughout the body, activating the muscles’ ability to maintain equalized, natural, intricate, and diverse movements. The focus of MAT is to rebuild the connection and awareness of a balance between muscles and internal organs, which in turn sharpens all functions for a well-balanced being.
AMT (Acupuncture Manipulation Therapy / Tui Na)
The spine should have a balanced biomechanic structure and functional fit, where the surrounding muscles are also functional. An unbalanced spine affects the musculoskeletal and nervous systems that result in pain and other signs of symptoms. Joint mobilization techniques or Acupuncture Manipulation Therapy treat spinal and joint dysfunction.
